CDM Smith Donates to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the New England Patriots Foundation through Continued Support of Employee Wellness Program

BOSTON – CDM Smith donated $55,000 to two charities as part of the firm’s Employee Wellness Program and commitment to give back to global communities. A $25,000 donation was made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and $30,000 was contributed to the Patriots Foundation, allowing for the continued support of these organizations’ missions to serve and uplift community members and ensure their long-term success.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is leading the way in how the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases in accessible ways. The majority of St. Jude’s funding comes from donors, allowing the orga­ni­za­tion to provide life-saving treatments at no cost to families. CDM Smith employees’ contri­bu­tion of $25,000 will allow St. Jude to remain on the cutting edge of the latest research and treatments fighting pediatric diseases, while also alleviating families the often-inac­ces­si­ble cost of lifesaving health care.

The New England Patriots Foundation aims to give back to the New England communities the Patriots call home. Through the implementation of all-year programming and philanthropic support through blood drives, high school scholarship programs and partnerships with foundations like Make-A-Wish and the Patriots Women’s Association, the foundation is committed to the aid and long-term success of marginalized and underserved local youth and communities. CDM Smith’s $30,000 donation will help local New England communities continue to build the strong foundations they need to be successful with each generation. 

CDM Smith’s Wellness Program rewards employees and their dependents for healthy behaviors and accomplishments with the goal of a healthier, more productive, happy and focused workforce. Participants earn wellness points by tracking behaviors, activities and programs that contribute to their overall physical and mental wellbeing. Once a threshold of points is reached each quarter, the firm converts the points to dollars to donate to charities chosen by CDM Smith’s Executive Leadership Team and by employee vote. Since the Wellness Program’s start in 2017, employee participation has resulted in more than $1 million in charitable donations.
