Colleen Heath Named NEWWA Volunteer of the Year
BOSTON—CDM Smith is pleased to announce that environmental engineer Colleen Heath, PE, PMP was named the Volunteer of the Year by the New England Water Works Association (NEWWA). The award recognizes a NEWWA member who has demonstrated outstanding service that goes above and beyond the expectations of the association and its committees.
Heath serves as a project technical leader working on numerous water distribution design and planning projects throughout New England. She has been a key member of the CDM Smith team for 10 years and currently plays a critical role in the firm’s approach to addressing lead in drinking water. She is widely recognized for her technical and project management savvy and for her dedication to the water industry.
Her achievements include the Environmental Business Council’s Ascending Leader Award in 2020, the American Council of Engineering Companies Young Professional of the Year in 2017 and the NEWWA Younger Member of the Year in 2016. Heath is very active with NEWWA, currently serving as co-chair of both the Membership Committee and the Corrosion Control Committee. She is also a volunteer for the Mentor program and participates on career panels for the University Outreach Committee.
Colleen has been a vital member of NEWWA for many years, serving as a dedicated mentor, presenter and committee leader.
