Robin Dominick, PE, PMP
Robin Dominick is a civil engineer with nearly 30 years of experience in highway and railroad bridge design, sign structures, retaining walls, and culverts. She has collaborated with key clients such as the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT), and Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA). Her work also includes serving as a technical advisor for P3 projects in the U.S. and Puerto Rico and managing public projects adjacent to CSXT right-of-way in six states.
“CDM Smith has some great benefits as a larger company, like having the opportunity to work on different types of projects across the United States,” Robin explains. “However, we are able to also have the benefits of a small company by creating meaningful connections across the company and with other disciplines.”
Robin is particularly inspired by the teamwork at CDM Smith, where collaboration is key to delivering creative solutions for clients. “I really enjoy the collaborative nature of the team I work with at CDM Smith. From our entry level engineers to the CSLs, we work together to find creative solutions and providing the client/owner the best product,” she says. “At every level there is support at CDM Smith to be successful and deliver great projects.
Seeing projects get built and improve infrastructure is what Robin finds most rewarding. “Over my career, I have worked on all types of projects, from complex river bridge crossings to small bridges and culverts. No matter the size, what gives me the most pride is seeing my projects get built. I am very proud of what we, as civil engineers, do to improve infrastructure."
