Engineering Design Services in Luxembourg

Under this task order CDM Smith will provide architectural and engineering design services for the construction of warehouses at Sanem in Luxembourg. CDM Smith will prepare full design packages that will then be used to procure bids for the construction project. As an option, support during the construction phase is included.

The project is part of the European Deterrence Initiative (EDI), sponsored by the United States Air Force Europe (USAFE). The warehouses will accommodate European Contingency Air Operations Set (ECAOS) Deployable Airbase Systems (DABS) at the Central Regional Storage Facility in Sanem.

CDM Smith’s design will include facility space for humidity-controlled warehouse storage, heated general purpose warehouse storage, vented general warehouse storage, and refueling vehicle maintenance. In addition, the facilities will include fire alarm systems, heat and smoke detection systems, an electrical load shedding system, lightning protection, and overvoltage protection for power and telecommunications systems. Supporting facilities include utilities, pavements, site improvements, environmental mitigation, and information systems.
