Transitions at the top: Hans Martin Gaus leaves, Ralf Bufler arrives

I have known Ralf Bufler for many years and am convinced that he will lead the Europe Services Group to continued success. “

On March 1st, 2018, Hans Martin Gaus will hand over his duties to Dr Ralf Bufler. Ralf Bufler studied geology and subse­quently earned his doctorate. After many years working inter­na­tion­ally as a water resource and geot­ech­ni­cal expert, his profes­sional development led him to GKW Consult, where he was managing director. In addition, he has held senior management positions at Dorsch Consult and Bauer Spezialtief­bau. Ralf Bufler’s extensive experience of the industry and his network of contacts will greatly contribute to the success of our strategic goals.

In his new role as Chairman of the Management board of CDM Smith Europe GmbH and CDM Smith Consult GmbH, he will be supported by Andreas Roth (Manager of Operations) and Dr Wolfgang Ropella (Commercial Manager). With this leadership strategy, we will have the necessary competence and stability to solve the tasks ahead of us in the interests of our clients, employees and our share­hold­ers.
