CDM Smith Celebrates Its 75th Anniversary

Through the acquisition of several mid-sized engineering firms, CDM Smith expanded its business into Europe in the 1990s. Today, about 700 members of staff generate annual sales of nearly 80 million Euro with their engineering services. With a broad range of services, CDM Smith Europe is involved in many well-known projects. These include major infrastructure measures such as the European railway project Stuttgart 21 and the construction of a new tunnel under the Suez Canal, a large number of construction projects supporting Germany’s energy transition with new north-south power lines, global involvement in development assistance projects or fish passage improvement projects across Europe and the construction of major wastewater infrastructure in Warsaw.

In 2021, we completed a transition to mobile working. Despite this flexibility, however, teamwork remains at the very heart of the company's core values. Through ongoing exchange between experts from different disciplines solutions are developed in an increasingly complex world that enable lasting and sustainable investments. This is what CDM Smith stands for over our 75-year history.
