Associate, Construction Manager
Edwin has dedicated almost five decades to a career in engineering and construction, where he executed large-scale projects as a project manager, construction manager, construction engineer, discipline design manager, and scheduler. He has conducted meaningful work in wastewater treatment, commercial industrial systems, and large civil works.
“I've been with CDM Smith for nearly eighteen years, and it is the most employee-centric, stimulating, and sophisticated engineering firm I have ever been associated with over the forty-six years of my professional career,” Edwin says.
He has notably served as construction project director and chief engineer at DC Water during its facilities expansion program, acting as the principal interface between the design and construction groups. He also served as the design manager in a joint venture between CDM Smith and PC Construction; this design-build project featured the largest ballasted flocculation clarification system in the United States at that time.
Amongst his work, Edwin is most proud of leading both the Central Water Reclamation Facility upgrade and the current Dry Creek Water Reclamation Facility in Tennessee. “Both projects are in excess of $300 million in value. The client is superb; the design consultants are collegial, and the construction contractor is among the most professional I have ever worked with,” he says.
