OMAHA, Neb.— The United States Army Corps Engineers (USACE) Omaha District selected CDM Smith for a $249 million unrestricted multiple-award task order contract to provide environmental architect and engineering (A-E) services to support the U.S. Air Force and EPA Region 8 Superfund Program. The contract consists of a 5-year base period, plus one 2-year option period. This contract enables CDM Smith to compete for task orders and manage critical projects for environmental compliance and restoration in the USACE Northwestern Division area and other locations nationwide.

The anticipated A-E task orders include environmental projects for both military and civilian customers of the Omaha District. In addition to strong environmental expertise in the region, specifically in mine site remediation and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation, CDM Smith’s portfolio of experience designing military facilities is growing rapidly, and these capabilities position the firm well in the upcoming task order competitions.

“Our firm is excited for the opportunity to work closely with the Omaha District to meet the expectations of its customers, including the Air Force and EPA. Using our cadre of top technical professionals and project managers, we will endeavor to be contractor of choice to complete the District’s environmental A-E projects,” said program manager Laura Kelley.
