Membrane Expert Greg Wetterau Re-Elected to AMTA Board of Directors

Wetterau is an inventive membrane specialist whose expertise includes process and system design for membrane filtration, desalination, and advanced treatment facilities.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.—CDM Smith is pleased to announce that Greg Wetterau, vice president and discipline leader for membrane tech­nolo­gies, was recently re-elected to the American Membrane Technology Association (AMTA) board of directors.

Wetterau has served on the AMTA board since 2011, including four years as vice president and three years as treasurer. He spent 12 years serving on AMTA’s conference program committee and has led numerous regional workshops around the country. He currently serves as chair for both the inter­na­tional liaison committee and the industry collab­o­ra­tion committee. With his re-election, he will serve on the board through 2024.

Wetterau is an inventive membrane specialist whose expertise includes process and system design for membrane filtration, desali­na­tion, and advanced treatment facilities. He has been a key team member for piloting, design, and facility start-up for projects around the world. He pioneered use of open-platform membrane systems, increasing flux and recoveries on RO, and leading precedent-setting permitting for seawater and potable reuse facilities. In addition to his work with AMTA, he also serves on the board of directors for the Inter­na­tional Desali­na­tion Association.
