Water Reuse Expert Greta Zornes Rejoins CDM Smith
Zornes has had an impressive career over the last two decades, focusing on municipal and industrial water reuse and other challenging water projects, studies and research. Drawn to complex projects, she enjoys working on international teams and has lived and worked in Australia, Canada and India, in addition to working for many other international clients. She previously served as the field water quality program lead for a facility where 98% of produced water was recycled.
Passionate and client-oriented, her ambition to learn and proficient knowledge in water reuse complements the rest of our water services team. After working in Australia, Zornes recognized the importance of varying water supplies and different treatment methods, incorporating reuse, desal, dams and conservation to continue to bring a holistic approach to water.
Zornes is a team leader and a major addition to our New Orleans office. She is bringing valuable insight to an R&D project currently underway to predict COVID-19 outbreaks via wastewater analysis. “I am very inspired by Tim Wall’s approach and vision for the next 10 years—particularly when it comes to leveraging R&D investment to be leaders in growth fields, such as reuse. CDM Smith’s private ownership model coupled with a dedicated and visionary CEO—as well as established technical leadership in water—were all contributing factors in my decision to join CDM Smith,” said Zornes.
CDM Smith is a privately owned engineering and construction firm providing legendary client service and smart solutions in water, environment, transportation, energy and facilities. Passionate about our work and invested in each other, we are inspired to think and driven to solve the world’s environmental and infrastructure challenges.
