CDM Smith Wins Major U.S. Bureau of Reclamation Contract to Benefit Nation’s Infrastructure and Environment

BOSTON—CDM Smith has secured a 5-year IDIQ contract to provide a full suite of architectural, engineering, professional, and technical services for the Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation), a federal agency under the U.S. Department of the Interior. The contract, part of a $45 million program, will support projects in a 17-state area that encompasses Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Oklahoma, Oregon, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

CDM Smith will work closely with Reclamation’s Technical Services Center (TSC), a resource center for engineering, scientific, and technical expertise in many areas of water resource management, development, and protection. The TSC performs various technical services for other Reclamation offices, other government agencies, and foreign governments.

CDM Smith will support various planned or existing projects, including dams, canals, fish passages, hydropower facilities, hydraulic structures, pipelines, new buildings, bridges, water treatment plants, and additional water infrastructure. Additionally, CDM Smith will perform studies, analyses, designs, and reviews of designs, structures, and features.
