Andrew Keough Honored with WEASC Capital District Young Profes­sional of the Year Award

The award recognizes young members whose service and achievements are exceptional for their years of experience in the field.

COLUMBIA, S.C.—Envi­ron­men­tal engineer Andrew Keough was recently awarded the Young Profes­sional of the Year award from the Water Environment Association of South Carolina (WEASC) for the Capital District. This award recognizes the contri­bu­tions of young members whose service and achieve­ments are exceptional for their years of experience and have demon­strated an active commitment to the orga­ni­za­tion and the profession.

With CDM Smith, Keough has worked on a variety of water and wastewater conveyance projects in the southeast U.S., in addition to supporting program initiatives such as the City of Columbia Clean Water 2020 program and the South Carolina DHEC's Dam Safety program. He has experience in water and wastewater pipeline design, site design, stormwater design and permitting, construc­tion admin­is­tra­tion, and project management. He is also skilled in the project application of software programs such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ArcGIS.

The Water Environment Association of South Carolina (WEASC) is a non-profit technical and educational orga­ni­za­tion that works in tandem with the South Carolina Section of the American Water Works Association (SCAWWA) who together are the South Carolina Water Asso­ci­a­tions. They represent water profes­sion­als in South Carolina with the goal of providing solutions to protect, enhance and manage the state’s water resources and quality services to advance the water environment profession.
