Jeremy Gilbride
“As a chemical engineer, I got into the environmental industry to make the world a better place than when I came into it,” says air quality expert Jeremy Gilbride. With a decade of experience, Jeremy has performed air quality and greenhouse gas assessments for airports, marine ports, and other facilities around the US. His specializations include developing emission inventories for criteria and hazardous air pollutants and greenhouse gasses, air dispersion analyses, federal Clean Air Act General Conformity determinations, and local air analyses for human health risk assessments.
“It is an incredible feeling to be a part of high-impact projects tackling real world issues that communities face,” he says. “Seeing these projects come to life and start actually making a difference in our lives and in the lives of the people they service is the most rewarding part of the work we do here at CDM Smith.”
Jeremy is most proud of his role in the LAX Landside Access Modernization Program in which he served as the lead air quality modeler. He educated the public on the project, analyzed its impacts, and then contributed to developing strategies to mitigate those impacts. As a result, the project is changing the way people travel in and out of one of the busiest airports in the country and is improving the quality of life of the airport-adjacent communities.
