Mark White Named AWWA Engineering & Construction Division Trustee and Standards Council Representative

CHICAGO—CDM Smith vice president and drinking water discipline leader Mark White, PE, BCEE was named Engineering & Construc­tion Division Trustee and Standards Council Repre­sen­ta­tive for the American Water Works Association (AWWA). White has been an active member of AWWA for over 25 years, having previously served as the chair of the AWWA Membrane Systems Subcom­mit­tee. He has also authored more than 20 technical presen­ta­tions on water treatment tech­nolo­gies at AWWA national conferences.

White is a registered profes­sional engineer and board-certified envi­ron­men­tal engineer with wide-ranging inter­na­tional experience in the planning, design, operations and maintenance, and construc­tion of water treatment facilities. He has particular expertise in membrane technology, having served as project manager or membrane design lead for over 300 mgd of capacity, publishing widely on the subject, and providing industry leadership through the membrane committees of AWWA.
