Matthew J. Lick, PE, CISSP
“I enjoy solving the complex problems that make a difference for our clients and the communities they service,” says automation engineer Matthew Lick. He has over a decade of experience in the instrumentation and control systems field.
Matt’s experience includes design of control systems, programming of PLC and HMI systems, and cybersecurity planning and risk management. “Aside from the interesting technical work, the relationships that you build with engineers of all different disciplines both with CDM Smith staff and external collogues provides the opportunity to learn far beyond your primary discipline,” Matt says.
As CDM Smith’s discipline leader for cybersecurity, Matt is responsible for developing the technical approach to OT Cybersecurity design for municipal and federal projects, cybersecurity governance and master planning, risk and vulnerability assessments, and cybersecurity technology implementation. His favorite project has been the SCADA Upgrade project at the Grass Island Wastewater Plant in Greenwich CT.
“CDM Smith doesn't just talk the talk, we walk the walk when it comes to technical excellence,” Matt says. “I see this frequently in my day-to-day projects, since I am often working with repeat clients who know us well and trust our expertise.”
I enjoy solving the complex problems that make a difference for our clients and the communities they service.
