About Alice
Alice Tyson is a senior hydrogeologist with over a decade of experience on groundwater projects in varying geology across Australia. Alice has delivered hydrogeological and multidisciplinary projects, including salinity and floodplain management, contaminated groundwater investigations, hydrogeological policy projects and a range of field investigation methods.
Her recent project experience includes groundwater conceptualisation and contaminated groundwater management for major infrastructure projects in Melbourne. She has designed field programs to survey and identify potential GDEs in Queensland’s CSG basins and undertaken landholder bore baseline surveys in similarly rural and remote environments. Alice has undertaken in-situ monitoring, collected field samples and analysed the data for several contaminated land projects and hydrogeological investigations.
She has developed hydrogeological conceptualisations for several contaminated sites, floodplain and salinity management projects, and groundwater-surface water interaction investigations. Alice has also worked to create models to understand complex hydrogeological systems, design and execute field programs, and model groundwater ingress to excavations for sewer and waterworks programs. In northern NSW, she has investigated groundwater supply options to meet local population centres' requirements. Alice was also part of the project team that developed the Victorian Aquifer Framework.
“I am motivated by developing a relationship with my clients to understand their needs and then working with our team to provide effective and innovative solutions.”
