Alejandro Mardones
Alejandro is a Project Data Scientist Consultant with environmental mapping and analysis expertise. His proficiency in ArcGIS Pro enabled him to create a comprehensive groundwater vulnerability map of Victoria, incorporating layers such as topography, soil type, and aquifer media to derive the "DRASTIC Index". Alejandro has also employed GIS to assess vegetation greenness in Chilean crops, correlate it with water rights, and analyze data using drone imagery. He holds a graduate diploma in hydrological modelling and is skilled in GIS and spreadsheet database analysis. Alejandro led a significant project with the Environment Protection Agency, Victoria, producing a catchment vulnerability map. His experience extends to mentoring and participating in the LEAD 2022 program, focusing on leadership in high-pressure scenarios and mental health awareness.
