Jack Polce, PE, joins CDM Smith as Principal Client Service Leader in the Industrial Business Unit 

WAYNE, Pa. — Jack Polce, PE, joins CDM Smith as a principal and senior client service leader in our Industrial Business Unit, and is based out of the Wayne, Penn­syl­va­nia office. With over two decades of experience in developing, performing and managing water, wastewater and envi­ron­men­tal projects within the industrial sector, he brings to the firm his expertise in sales, delivery and client development for commercial and industrial clients with a focus on industrial water. 

Joining CDM Smith from Brown and Caldwell where he served as an industrial water-focused client services manager, Polce excels in strategic client development and overseeing all aspects of projects, from feasibility analyses through design and construc­tion to start-up and commis­sion­ing. He has visited and helped over 100 industrial facilities solve their industrial wastewater challenges. One of the most notable was a $160 million upgrade for a phar­ma­ceu­ti­cal client faced with a significant production expansion and decreased NPDES discharge limits for nitrogen and phosphorus. Focused on water and wastewater sustain­abil­ity, he success­fully managed projects for a broad range of industrial clients, while emphasizing waste reduction, water efficiency and sustainable design. His experience spans diverse industries including food and beverage, oil and gas, steel manu­fac­tur­ing, chemical, automotive original equipment manufac­tur­ers, pharmaceutical, aerospace and more.

Polce earned a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Villanova University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Envi­ron­men­tal Engineering from Virginia Military Institute. He also worked for CDM Smith previously as a project manager from 2004 to 2007. “I’m excited to return because of the great people that work here and the way CDM Smith offers longevity and career growth,” Polce says.
