Among Michael’s notable accom­plish­ments, he considers the trans­for­ma­tion of an unusable alley in partnership with the City of Lowell as one of his proudest projects. This project involved converting an overgrown area marred by weeds and trash into an outdoor art gallery and neigh­bor­hood meeting place. By integrating green infra­struc­ture, the new space effectively managed stormwater and reduced combined sewer overflows, addressing critical water quality concerns.

Michael's decision to join CDM Smith was driven by his appre­ci­a­tion for the company's people, culture, and in-house capa­bil­i­ties. “The company supports and equips us to become experts in areas that we are most interested in exploring, and we are given the tools and resources to make it happen," he says.
