Developed at CDM Smith’s Neysadurai Centre, our urban systems modeling process simulates the performance of a city’s water, energy, transportation, solid waste, urban form and natural environment sectors using a suite of modeling tools. The simulation tracks the relationships among these sectors and the impacts related to land and water resources, greenhouse gas emissions and finances. Whether retrofitting an existing urban area or designing a new program or community, the modeling process allows decision makers to look at different options and make selections about green and traditional technologies and strategies that provide the most benefit.
