Louis Perry Group Joins CDM Smith
Acquisition expands services to industrial clients throughout the United States

CAMBRIDGE, Massachusetts—CDM Smith, the global water, environment, transportation, energy and facilities firm, has acquired The Louis Perry Group (LPG), a multi-disciplined engineering/architectural/design-build firm that specializes in process, civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, instrumentation and controls engineering to service power, industrial, rubber, plastics, chemical and commercial clients. LPG, based in Wadsworth, Ohio, has been serving clients since 1985.
According to CDM Smith Chairman and CEO Steve Hickox, “CDM Smith and LPG share a deep commitment to client service and technical excellence. The acquisition of LPG enhances CDM Smith’s industrial capabilities and enables the firm to continue to build a strong industrial practice in the key markets of oil & gas, chemicals, food & beverage, mining, and power. LPG will remain an independent subsidiary and serve as a key industrial design center for CDM Smith’s industrial sector.
With the transaction completed on December 8, 2014, the firms have begun the important transition to integrate the two organizations.
