May 27, 2011

CDM Smith is proud to participate in the American Water Works Association 2011 Annual Conference & Exposition (ACE11) with more than 20 paper, poster and workshop presentations. Held in Washington, D.C., from June 12 through 16, and coined “The World’s Water Event,” ACE is a forum for water professionals to tackle industry challenges, explore new technologies and share best practices.

The firm is sponsoring prominent events throughout the week, including Water For People’s Kenneth J. Miller Founders’ Award Luncheon and Women in Water Gala, both on June 13, as well as the Water Industry Luncheon and Career Fair, both on June 14. The Thomas R. Camp Scholarship will be presented to Jong Kwon Choe, a doctoral student at the University of Illinois, at the Water Industry Luncheon. The scholarship is awarded each year to provide support to an outstanding student doing applied research in the drinking water field.

Also being honored at ACE11 will be CDM Smith’s Charlie Anderson, AWWA’s president-elect, as well as former CDM Smith Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, Bob Marini, who has been named to AWWA’s Water Industry Hall of Fame.
