The project employed local businesses and workers, provided outdoor space for the community, and stimulated tourism—all while offsetting carbon emissions and protecting local wildlife.

CDM Smith was appointed lead consultant for the Eastern River Basin District on an 8-year, €10 million water management program. As part of this program, we published a river basin management plan and developed an implementation strategy for this 6,300-square-kilometer area, home to 1.6 million people.
