Kelly CollinsKelly Collins (Albuquerque) was elected to a 2-year term as vice president of the Western Coalition of Arid States. Hari GuptaHari Gupta (Irvine) was elected vice chair of the Air & Waste Management Association San Diego Chapter. Bill HowardBill Howard (Cambridge) delivered a keynote address, “Increasing Workforce Engagement for International Cooperative and Work-Integrated Education” at the International Conference on Cooperative and Work-Integrated Education in Bangkok, Thailand. Tariq KhanTariq Khan (Maitland) was elected vice president of the North Florida Section of the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering International. For the past 5 years, he has served as section secretary. Bob MariniBob Marini, former CDM Smith Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, was named to AWWA’s Water Industry Hall of Fame. Jennifer OsgoodJennifer Osgood (Manchester) was elected to serve on the board of directors for the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of New Hampshire. Tom PedersonTom Pedersen (Cambridge) has been appointed chair of the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI) education and certification committee. ISI offers a civil engineering infrastructure sustainability rating system to help promote and deliver more effective engineered solutions. Cathy RyanCathy Ryan (Detroit) received a 2011 New Leader Award from the National Association of Women in Construction Detroit Local 183. Leslie TurnerLeslie Turner (Maitland) received the National Society of Professional Engineers 2011 Young Engineer of the Year Award for her outstanding contributions to the profession. Mike WalshMichael Walsh (Cambridge) was appointed to the ACEC of Massachusetts board of directors. He was also appointed chair of the Massachusetts Chapter of the Design-Build Institute of America New England Region. Greg WetterauGreg Wetterau (Rancho Cucamonga) was elected to the board of directors of the American Membrane Technology Association (AMTA). He will serve as chair of the program committee for the 2013 Joint Membrane Technology Conference, cosponsored by AMTA and AWWA. David YoungDavid Young (Cambridge) was elected a fellow by ACEC. He was also given the 2011 Community Service Award at the ACEC of Massachusetts annual meeting.
