CDM Smith erhielt den Planungsauftrag für die Sicherung der Altdeponie. Der Industriemüllkörper sollte mit einer kombinierten Obenflächenabdichtung und dem Schließen der bestehenden Dichtwandlücke gesichert werden. Außerdem sollte die Deponiefläche durch Umlagerung um ein Drittel verkleinert werden.

Rockwell Automation war auf der Suche nach einer wirksamen Methode, um eine Grundwasserverunreinigung mit LHKW in Florida zu sanieren. Dafür eignete sich das Enhanced Anaerobic Bioremediation (EAB) Verfahren, bei der mit natürlich vorkommenden Bakterien, unter Zugabe von Laktat die Verunreinigungen abgebaut werden.
